  2. Introduction In this lesson, we will be tackling two very important topics that you need to understand as a second grader. This fun interactive lesson plan will have you spelling words correctly and alphabetizing those words given to you. By the end of this fun exercise you will be asked to complete a short quiz to test your understanding of the lesson before you. *Use the arrow keys to move forward and backward * Get your spelling & alphabetizing caps on! You will be an awesome speller and an amazing alphabetizer after this lesson! Home Back Next Slide

  3. Directions This PowerPoint has everything you need to become a better speller and alphabetizer. You will first go through the lesson, you will be able to go to the home page on any slide by simply clicking the home button located in the right hand corner. On the home page you will see 3 boxes labeled - quiz, introduction, and lesson. With one click of those icons you will be directed to what you clicked on. You first want to read the introduction to see what this PowerPoint is all about, after returning back to the home page (By the click of the house) you will then click on the lesson button, make sure that you pay attention because once you are done with the lesson you must return to the home page and take a brief quiz simply by clicking the quiz button! If you feel a little insecure about taking the quiz right after your first viewing of the lesson, don't be afraid to do the lesson again, before taking the quiz! Home Back Next slide

  4. Lesson So how do we alphabetize words? * Alphabetizing is very simple! All you have to do is imagine the alphabet in your head, if I asked you what word comes first in alphabetical order and you have the words - candy and zoo, which would go first? CANDY! because C comes before Z in the alphabet, you always want to look at the first letter in the word to determine which one comes first! Back Next slide Home
