  1. Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2013 Time: 2:00-4:00 P.M. Location: Heritage Room, CLA Building, 8th floor Dr. Larry Wright is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside. He has undergraduate degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering. After briefly working as a professional engineer, Dr. Wright returned to academia and received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Indiana University. He is the author of Teleological Explanations and three texts on critical thinking. In recent years he has written articles on argument and understanding, the deductive ideal, justification and discovery, the normativity of the notions of function and goal, and the relation between reasoning and explaining.
