  1. Do you believe Yeshua Learning to Serve Ministries Is God? John 1:1 Part 3 May 16, 2013

  2. BLUF (Jesus) (God) • You just simply have to have a lot of, a lot of, a lot of help and a lot of distortion of Scripture to think and believe that osfeiis not efei

  3. Where We Left Off • Is your word, you? • Is my word, me? • Am I my word? • We are made in the image of God • Each of us is one single unit but made of three parts: body, spirit, and soul • We are echad– one • Let’s look at the marriage as an instrument to further prove that osfeiis efei

  4. The Marriage Where in the Bible did marriage begin? “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 This is where efei ordained that man and woman would be echad

  5. The Marriage • What is the relationship between the man and woman supposed to be? • The man is supposed to be the head of the family, right? • But he is also supposed to completely love and serve the woman, including, if necessary, the laying down of his own life for hers • By laying down your life for someone you are showing your authority over them, while humbling yourself • This humbling, then, says that they are more important than you

  6. Echad • So what is this word we’ve been using – echad? • What does it mean? • Put simply, echadmeans one • It is how you count in Hebrew • But it is also a “compound one” • There is another “one” in Hebrew – yaheed • This means “exclusively one”

  7. Echad One of the best places in Scripture to find echadis in Deuteronomy 6: “Hear, O Israel: efeiour Elohim isone LORD: And thou shalt love efeithy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5 The Shema!

  8. Echad This is one of the reasons Christians have a hard time explaining the Trinity – it is hard to describe a body made up of a pluralsingularity! It is also one of the reasons that Muslims refuse to listen to Christians about the Bible and our God (the True God) – they believe in one god (a false one) and they won’t accept the Triune God of the Bible

  9. Echad Trinity! “...So believe in (the god of Islam) and His messengers, and say not "Three" - Cease! (it is) better for you!...” Sura 4:171 This is clearly a stab at the Bible and Christianity as it cannot mean “do not say the word ‘three’” – it means, quite literally, do not believe in a Trinity

  10. Isaiah, John, and Revelation • Thus far we’ve compared Bible to Bible, book to book, and verse to verse • Let’s go for three… • Get your Scriptures ready! • Turn first to Isaiah 6

  11. Isaiah, John, and Revelation “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also efei sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy (Kadosh), holy, holy, is efeiof hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:1-3

  12. Isaiah, John, and Revelation “But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of efeibeen revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.” John 12:37-40

  13. Isaiah, John, and Revelation “These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.” John 12:41 This is referring back to Isaiah 6!

  14. Isaiah, John, and Revelation “And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” Revelation 4:2 “And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Kadosh, kadosh, kadosh, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” Revelation 4:8 Revelation gives us the proof!

  15. Let’s Talk About Salvation Regardless of your position on Jesus as God, what is the one single most important thing to you when you think of Him? Salvation!

  16. Let’s Talk About Salvation There is only one name by which man can be saved: osfei “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;” Acts 4:8-9

  17. Let’s Talk About Salvation There is only one name by which man can be saved: osfei “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:10-12

  18. Let’s Talk About Salvation “And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is efei; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9 “Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:4

  19. Let’s Talk About Salvation “I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saithefei, that I am God.” Isaiah 43:12 “Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I efei? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.” Isaiah 45:21

  20. Let’s Talk About Salvation “…and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.” Isaiah 45:21 • The word used for “Savior” above is yasha(Blue Letter Bible): • Yeshua: osfeiYasha:osi

  21. Let’s Talk About Salvation “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:22 “And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.” Isaiah 59:16

  22. Let’s Talk About Salvation “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” Jeremiah 17:14 “Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.” Ezekiel 34:22 “Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.” Ezekiel 37:23

  23. Let’s Talk About Salvation “But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by efeitheir God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.” Hosea 1:7 “Yet I am efei thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.” Hosea 13:4

  24. Let’s Talk About Salvation Zephaniah 3:19 Zechariah 9:9, Zechariah 9:6 Psalm 27:1, Psalm 37:40, Psalm 80 versus 3, 7 and 19, Psalm 85:7, Psalm 106:8, Psalm 138:7 Proverbs 22

  25. 1st Timothy “That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.” 1st Timothy 6:14-16

  26. Remember This from Isaiah? “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

  27. Remember This from Isaiah? How many places in the Bible can you find a reference to both God and Savior in the same sentence? Here’s one: “They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;.” Psalm 106:21

  28. Conclusion In doing this study I have come to one solid discovery: I cannot tell you, of my own accord, that osfei is efei Let me explain: Such knowledge only comes by/from the Holy Spirit!

  29. Conclusion • I always advocate reading the Bible and then going back and reading the passage again – make sure you truly understand what the Word is saying • Sometimes, it isn’t necessary to do that as the words actually mean what they say • But one thing is imperative above all else: read the Word without putting your own emotions, feeling and “spin” on it!

  30. Conclusion Yeshua IS God!

  31. ?

  32. Finally Throughout history efei has pardoned sin by His grace based on Messiah’s work on the cross alone, not on man’s actions. Though we advocate obedience, obedience does not determine salvation. Our right standing before Him is established on one thing only: the finished work of Messiah. We are released from our sins by His blood. He has reconciled us in His earthly body through His death. Osfei bore our sins in His own Body on the cross so that by His wounds we are healed. We are made holy through the offering up of His body as a sacrifice. Messiah appeared once for all to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. efei sent His Son to remove the wrath that we ourselves both created and deserve. The penalty of sin that is rightly ours is absolved by grace through faith, not by any righteous deeds of our own. Only when we are born again, given a new life through God’s Spirit, by faith in Osfei Messiah can we be forgiven. Will you accept Him?
