  10. Victory over death (54-57) • The sting of death is sin - Death is punishment for sin (1 Cor. 15:22, cf. Rom. 5:12-21) • The strength of sin is the law – because of law there is sin Rom 7:7, 3:20, 4:15 • Is law bad? NOT at all!

  12. Therefore, be steadfast… (58) • Because there is a resurrection, It matters how we live our lives • Be steadfast – moving ahead, not giving up Col. 1:23, Gal. 6:9, Heb. 12:1-2

  13. Therefore, be steadfast… (58) • Immovable – not shaken in one’s beliefs – Psa. 1:3, Eph. 4:14-15 • Always abounding – considerably more than expected See 2 Pet. 1:5-11

  14. Therefore, be steadfast… (58) • Abounding in the work of the Lord – Eph. 2:10 • Knowing your labor is not in vain in the Lord – our motivation

  15. There is hope in the resurrection But only to those who have obeyed the gospel – Mk. 16:16, Ac. 2:38 And remain faithful! – Rev. 2:10

  16. Where will you spend eternity?
