  2. In the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving with our families.

  3. Turkey is usually part of the Thanksgiving dinner.

  4. Did you ever wonder what turkeys do for Thanksgiving?

  5. Some families pass down quilts from one generation to the next.

  6. Does your family have quilts, too?

  7. Quilts can be made on a sewing machine.

  8. Or they can be stitched by hand.

  9. Matryoshka, nesting dolls, are made in Russia.

  10. In the United States we also celebrate and honor past presidents.

  11. Some families rope and ride in the Mexican Rodeo style.

  12. They try to ride the bull and not fall off.

  13. Or they learn to perform fancy rope tricks.

  14. For some families, carving totem poles is a tradition.

  15. Other families might have collected cloth from Africa.

  16. West African Kente cloth was a nice gift for our past president.

  17. Tasty fry bread is made on a pueblo.

  18. Pueblo is a Spanish word for town.

  19. Dancers from San Juan Pueblo perform the deer dance.

  20. Some dancers perform at schools.

  21. Others perform at pow wows.
