  1. Interesting Facts 12 June 1817 Baron Karl von Drais invented a forerunner to something many of us have today. The draisine was really a running machine – a wooden frame with 2 in-line wheels! 12th June 1929 Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany. Aged 13 she went in to hiding with her family in Amsterdam to escape persecution under Nazi occupation. After two years her family were betrayed and sent to concentration camps where Anne died. Her diary from June 1942 to August 1944 is regarded as the most famous personal account of the Holocaust and has been turned into a play as well as a film.

  5. Message from Kitchen The kitchen staff have decided that the Baked Tattie Cards are not working. Instead, they’d like teachers in P1-3 to issue a yellow wristband to all children who’ve ordered a baked tattie. This is then to be handed over to the Kitchen Staff in the baked tattie line.

  6. Peedie Pets 4M have been making Peedie Pets to raise money for charity. We are going to be selling them this week at breaktime, starting Monday 12th June. They cost 50p each. The money is going to Cancer Research UK. We only have 150 so we are going to limit them to one per person. They come in lots of different colour combinations. We decided to sell them in bags as a lucky dip. Which one will you get? Peedie Pets are fragile. They are ornaments rather than toys.

  7. Peedie Pets We think they really are the perfect pet as: • You don’t have to walk them • You don’t have to clean up after them • You don’t have to feed them • You don’t have to wash them • You don’t have to take them to the vet • They won’t wake you in the night • They won’t run away So buy a Peedie Pet before they are all gone!
