  1. GOLDEN WEEK about crowded tourist attractions

  2. Did you travel in golden week? Tourists crowded at the Forbidden City in Beijing

  3. Why these places have so many people? Are we really dragon’s offspring?

  4. These pictures didn’t come from Hollywood blockbuster 2012, but from China, where 1.3 billion people had their golden weeks.

  5. Nearly every tourist attractions had many people, so people wasted time queuing. This time, they didn’t enjoy splendid landscape, actually, they appreciated people. Every day, when we read newspaper, we can see that many famous places are crowded.

  6. In 2012, the PRC government announced that national highways would be toll free for Golden Week, and as a result 86 million people travelled by road (13% increase compared to the previous year). The same year, the Forbidden City in Beijing had a new record of 182,000 visitors within one day on October 2, the Mausoleum of Sun Yet-sen had 215,000 visitors on October 4 (10 times the number of visitors on a normal busy day), 7.6 million people travelled via domestic airlines, 60.9 million people travelled via railway, and revenues from tourism totaled at 1.77 billion renminbi. 7. From above, we can clearly see that highway ,which is free of charge, is one of the main reasons why tourist attractions have so much people.

  8. Solution: We can adjust and perfect the policy, which seems not wonderful in some cases.

  9. The public facility of our country is rather humble, and cannot serve so many people .

  10. Solution : Our authorities can set off some rules to strengthen the control of tourist attractions. Some places can be limited by protecting environment and heritage, for example, we can set up a rule to tickets for booking.

  11. Compared with the western countries, only a small number of people can enjoy paid vacation.

  12. Solution : Companies in China can learn from other countries. We can also offer chances to employees to let them enjoy paid vacation. That would scatter the numbers of tourists.

  13. Golden week probably becomes the only chance for some people to go travelling. Solution : our government can restore the long holidays to let more people arrange time to travel and avoid so many people go out on National Day.
