Deliverables (1/2) • Guidelines for Participation of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services in Disaster Risk Reduction Coordination Mechanisms → May 2008 • Portfolio of good practices in EWS (documentation) • France, Bangladesh, China (Shanghai), Italy, Cuba → Q1 2009 • Others → 2009 onward • Exchange and share experiences through EWS Symposiums, publications, workshops and study tour • 2nd Symposium on MH EWS – Toulouse (Météo-France and other ministries) → Q1 2009 • Others → TBD

  4. Deliverables (2/2) • Support of operational aspects of NMHSs in early warning systems (ongoing) • Technology transfer • Supporting training of public and media • Joint training with stakeholders (e.g. civil security and other ministries) • Educational programmes • Facilitation of cooperation with other agencies (through leveraging networks of partners) • Development of “Hazard Programmes” for NMHSs to deliver relevant information for sectoral planning (starting Q4 2008)
