  3. REQUIRED JOB SERVICES (RJS) • DES/DWD partnership in RJS • Engages UI claimants early in their new claim with relevant reemployment resources and services

  4. Tips on working with the RJS customer: • If necessary, RJS customers are responsible to reschedule their appointment. • If RJS customer is a “no show” or chooses not to complete the RJS process, DES is notified automatically after close of business Friday of each week.

  5. Tips on working with the RJS customer: • Career Center staff may serve an RJS customer anytime in the week the customer is scheduled for RJS.

  6. Tips on working with the RJS customer: • When working with an RJS customer, a DWD-PO 84 would be needed: • 1) in any situation where the customer’s “able and available for work” status is in question. • 2) if the customer missed their regularly scheduled appointment. The DWD-PO 84 would be used to explain the reason why the customer missed their appointment.

  7. The Four Required Job Services • The following required services for RJS claimants include: • Orientation to Career Center Services • Assessment of Individual Skills through use of Career Ready 101 • Provision of Labor Market Information

  11. The RJS process is NOT completed for the customer unless the RJS Enrollment is closed on the same day in which it is opened. Failure to do this will negatively impact benefits for the customer. (Please refer to the RJS Desk Aid posted on WorkSmart https://worksmart.ded.mo.gov/includes/secure_file.cfm?ID=4&menuID=5286, pp. 15-19.

  14. What You Need to Know About Worker Profiling Missouri Division of Workforce Development

  15. Purpose of Worker Profiling Missouri Division of Workforce Development Employment Security (ES) selects for Worker Profiling, Unemployment Insurance (UI) claimants likely to exhaust benefits before potential reemployment. Career Center staff provide reemployment services to profiled claimants

  16. Purpose of Worker Profiling, cont. Missouri Division of Workforce Development If claimant fails to participate in the scheduled services, benefits will be held one week.

  17. Career Center Staff Responsibilities Missouri Division of Workforce Development • Initial visit—services of Profile Orientation, Toolbox Assessment, job search and a service from Profile Intensive Employment Services • Toolbox Assessment—done to develop an Employment Plan (EP) with the claimant; to be signed by both workforce specialist and claimant

Career Center Staff Responsibilities Missouri Division of Workforce Development • EP shows the reemployment services the claimant will participate in to assist in the reemployment process . • Subsequent visit (if appropriate)—enter and/or reenter the claimant in a Profile Intensive Employment Service and a job search activity

  19. Claimants stay in Worker Profiling until one of the following: • reemployment occurs • enrolled and participating in training • no longer claiming benefits Missouri Division of Workforce Development

  20. Reasons to Exempt Missouri Division of Workforce Development Scheduled call back date to previous job must be within 8 weeks of layoff or 16 weeks with director’s approval Connected to a Union Hall- these claimants are usually screened out

Reasons to Exempt Missouri Division of Workforce Development Currently enrolled in & participating in Trade, WIA or Director Approved Training Profiled Claimant has 1 or less required employer contacts on Seeker Info page in Toolbox Profile services have been completed within 6 months of the present profile selection.

  22. Career Center Staff Must Complete Missouri Division of Workforce Development Assure UI Profile customer is WIA Adult Core enrolled and has done Career Ready 101 Assessment Complete the UI Profile Enrollment in Toolbox

  23. Career Center Staff Must Complete Missouri Division of Workforce Development Complete Profile Orientation and Toolbox Assessment Open Employment Plan with appropriate Profile Services

  24. Career Center Staff Must Complete Missouri Division of Workforce Development Enter appropriate services each time the profiled claimant returns Close services as they are completed Must include an outcome when closing services and/or enrollment
