  3. “For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will. And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day. For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life.” John 6:38-40

  4. “My food”, Jesus said, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” John 6:38-40

  5. “This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.” 1 Timothy 2:3-7

  6. 1. God did not send us to convert lost people.

  7. “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16

  8. “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” John 5:24

  9. 2. It’s the Holy Spirit that draws people to God.

  10. “But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.” John 16:7-8

  11. “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: 'They will all be taught by God.' Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.” John 6:44-45

  13. “And they have defeated him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony.” Revelation 12:11

  19. “For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Luke 19:10

  20. “Jesus said, ‘Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’" John 20:21
