  2. Step 1 • Take an active selfie. Focus only on your face. Background and body doesn’t matter. • The more dynamic your photograph, the easier and more interesting your drawing will be… • Please remove the color and boost the contrast on Adobe Photoshop (Image>Mode>Grayscale/ Image>Adjustments>Brightness/Contrast) • Finally, set the image size at 5 in. x 5 in. • Print.

  3. Step 2 – set your grid • The proportion of your grid is very important. • Please make a 10 in. x 10 in. grid with 2 inch squares. It should look like this:

  4. Setting your Quadrants Top Left: Stippling Top Right: Cross- Hatching Bottom Left: Shade Bottom Right: Contour Line

  5. Drawing Specs Draw what you SEE, not what you think you see. You have one week to finish this exercise. Take the drawing one box at a time. Look at where your features cross the grid lines.
