  2. Portraits • Get a mirror and a piece of paper and something to draw with. • What do you need to learn to help with portraits? • Take out your portrait homework.

  3. Reflective Self- Portrait~ Objective: You will use observation skills in order create a reflective self-portrait. DRILL: • List at least 5 ideas of reflective surface that you could see your reflection: • Which art medium (materials) do you think you want to use? • What type of surface will you make it on? Miss Gauger has many announcements about college visits, lab fee, etc….

  5. Reflective Self- Portrait Criteria • Self- portrait. Must be an image of yourself. • Observational drawing in a reflective surface- encouraged to use other than a mirror. • Must show a majority of the face. • My include a reflection of your life- questions to help will follow. • Materials and surface of your choice • Should have shading and be realistic. - mostly • Think of ways to make it amazing. IF YOU FINISH EARLY, MAKE A CREATIVE SELF PORTRAIT.

Other excitement~ Florida Young Arts • Trip to Florida- paid one week to learn from famous resident artists. www.youngarts.org • Seniors only • Miami • Registration is due Oct 14th • Application and Portfolio due Dec or Jan • 8 or 10 pieces and artist statement • Excellent preparation for AP exam.
