  2. Conflict “Tell me what I should do Caspian, I don’t know who this guy was, or how involved he might have been with what happened.”(336) Abbey and her new boyfriend, Caspian, got into an argument over what happened to her best friend. Turns out her best friend had a secret boyfriend. And she wasn’t sure if he was involved with the passing of Kristen.

  3. Conflict “He died a little more then two years ago in a car accident. Right before Halloween.” (p.493) Caspian isn’t human. He’s a ghost from the past. Abbey had no clue, until now. Once she finds this out she questions her relationship with Caspian. Was it all a lie?

  4. Conflict “okay, so for dinner tonight with Aunt Marjorie, I was thinking about roast beef, but then I realized I don’t even know if she likes beef.” (p.278) They are having dinner tonight with their aunt Marjorie that they haven’t seen in a while.

  5. Setting “The pathway along the graveyard turned slick with water and mud, and it splashed along the bottom of my jeans and shoes as I walked.” (17) Abbey is walking through the cemetery to visit her best friend, Kristen, who has recently passed away.

  6. Setting “I slowly pushed the door open, and familiar sight of petal pink paper-” (p.248) Abbey was walking into her friend, Kristen’s room to look around to see if she could find anything that would help her find out anything about Kristen’s death.
