  2. Vocabulary Ghosts Conversation With your partners or the teacher only. Ask your neighbor. Raise your hand for me. Help Activity Choose 8 vocabulary words. Create a vocabulary ghost for each word you choose. Draw your ghosts. Movement Get supplies as needed. Get up to present. Stay on task. Listen carefullyto presentations. Applaud when finished. Participation

  3. Vocabulary Ghosts • Create 8 Vocabulary Ghosts that represent the words of your choice. • You may work alone or with one or two partners. • Be prepared to present your ghosts to the class.

  4. Reading: The Moon Lady Conversation None. Raise your hand. No bathroom breaks during reading. Help Activity Follow along with the reading. Add to your character chart. Complete study guide questions. Movement Turning pages. Keep your head up. Follow along with the reading. Participation

  5. Character Brainstorm Split up into five groups. Each group will start with a specific character. Write down as many details about the character as you can- this can include experiences, what they look like, personality traits, symbols, etc. The chart paper will move to a new group every 4-5 minutes.

  6. Group Work- Character Brainstorm Conversation Quiet voices with your partner(s) or the teacher only. Help each other. If you need more assistance, Raise your hand And I will come to you. Help Activity Brainstorm EVERYTHING you can think of about your character. Add it to the chart paper. Look in your book for more details. Movement As needed for materials and to create. The chart paper will Be passed along every few minutes. Complete all parts of the activity. Keep sidebars to a minimum. Participation

  7. Homework • Complete Study Guide for Part 1. • Update your character chart. • Study for quiz tomorrow- will include first four chapters and SAT words.
