  5. Format of workshop • 6 total sessions • Every other week • Free lunch only for 1st and 4th session • Certificates to be given at the end of the 6th session • Graduates will get chance to preach at special devo

  6. Guidelines for the workshop • Be giving • Cellphones silent (or off) • Pay attention to whoever is speaking • Create a positive atmosphere • No bad comments • Feel free to lift up people • Encourage participation • Feel free to ask questions

  7. Why speak? • Because the Bible must be heard • Because many teach the Bible wrongly • Because we all have convictions to share

  8. Remember… • Many people died in the past centures just so the Bible could be read and preached today

  9. The three C’s of public speaking • C –ontent • You must say something of value • C –larity • You must say it clearly • C – onfidence • You must say it like you mean it

  10. Exercise #1 • Intensity drill (From Titus 2.11-12) Imagine your groupmates are demons that are tempting you Say “No!” to them

  11. Exercise #1 • Concentration drill Recite your ABC’s as if you were preaching

  12. Exercise #3 • Emotion drill Read Matt 23:13-15 “Woe to you” (English or Tagalog) [break time]
