2. Torah – A choice to make Deuteronomy 28:13-14 (NIV) 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. 14Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them. • Israel had a choice to make - to obey God or not to obey God. • Do you choose to pay attention to God’s commands? Isaiah 61:10-11 (NIV) 10 I delight greatly in the Lord;my soul rejoices in my God.For he has clothed me with garments of salvation    and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,    and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up    and a garden causes seeds to grow,so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness    and praise spring up before all nations. Brit Chadashah Acts 16:25-29 25About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!” 29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” • Even though Paul and Silas had been beaten and were in a bad situation they chose to what? _______________________________________________________________________ • As a result the jailer became a believer.
