  1. 2014 Ministries Budget Promotion “Standing Out For God” BUILDING HEALTHY CHURCHES

  2. Building Healthy Churches& Healthy Pastors We are part of something called the Church of God (COG) Movement, which is distinguished by a major center in Anderson, Indiana. The COG Movement began with a desire for Christians to come together in unity as one church.

  3. The name “Church of God” was selected because of its common use in the Bible about the church. It started in the USA in the 1880’s and has since spread around the world. Church of God groups around the world associate with one another for the common purposes of mission, theological dialogue, and ecumenical initiatives.

  4. We are a church actively participating in the Kingdom of God in the four provinces of Western Canada and beyond. The twenty-five hundred plus constituency is funding church planting in Alberta, and Yap; medical missions in Uganda; HIV aids prevention;

  5. providing resources for early elementary education in the country of Yap; partnering with our missionaries to provide clean water in Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi; hunger relief; funding training of theological students in South Africa;

  6. providing support and funding to eight students in Alberta and Saskatchewan who are pursuing vocational ministry; providing coaching and consultation services to churches in the district seeking redevelopment; funding the screening and development of the next generation of Christian leaders in Bulgaria;

  7. funding intentional interim pastoral training for churches in the district; counseling for clergy families in stress; and staffing for clergy health and effectiveness.

Please make cheques payable to: “Church of God in Western Canada” - designated MBO or you may bring it with you to Western Canadian Campmeeting and place it in the Sunday, July 20th offering.

  15. Canada is a mission field! The mission field has come to us. I celebrate the diversity of the church. I am delighted that the church is increasingly reflecting the changing demographic of Canada. I celebrate those in our midst who are intentionally calling themselves missionaries and adopting a lifestyle that communicates the gospel in relevant ways to those God has placed in their lives.
