Workflow for Development • Determine areas of focus for 2013-2017 (April 2012) • Set general goals for each area (April 2012) • Name objectives to achieve each goal (May 2012) • Assign each area of focus to one eLearning Association sub-committee to build strategic plan for implementing objectives over the next few years (scheduled July 2012, ELA Meeting) • Develop priority and timelines for each objective within areas of focus/sub-committees (scheduled September 2012, ELA Bootcamp)

Strategic Objectives • Expand interaction in online courses by training faculty about methods and techniques they can use for instructor-to-student and student-to-student collaboration • Review standardization requirements (beyond standardized buttons) • Study need for training/orientation personnel to better prepare faculty and students for pedagogy of teaching and learning online

  6. Strategic Objectives • Expand instructor-to-student, student-to-student, and student-to content interaction by training instructors on how to create a sense of community within their online courses • Assign sub-committee to study effectiveness of student services specialists, mentors, navigators, etc. in retaining online students • Explore option of statewide withdrawal surveys through Enrollment Tool • Increase use of SmarterMeasure assessment to determine areas of need for students and alter orientation trainings as needed

Strategic Objectives • Redesign Enrollment Tool for increased efficiency and appropriate data collection • Study the proctoring/authentication needs of the consortium and determine if need is being met. • Continue to explore options for SIS/ET integration – course build, registration and withdrawing processes • Seek administrative support to Align job responsibilities for daily administrative tasks among schools to ensure appropriate system-wide support
