  3. Invertebrate • Every member of this species is an invertebrate • That means the species don’t have a backbone

  4. Cnidarian Reproduction • Cnidarians can reproduce both asexually and sexually • Sexually • Male and female structures both appear in the offspring’s appearance • Asexually • Reproduction by budding

  5. Type of Skeleton and movement • This is one of the body forms of a Cnidarians. • Polyp-are cylindrical body with tentacles

  6. Con’t • This is the other body type of the cnidarians • Medusa- umbrella shaped with fringes of tentacles

  7. Feeding and digestion • They are carnivores • They eat their food through their mouth • They have a hollow bag like structure (gastrovascular cavity) that lets food water and lets waste leaves through the same opening

  8. Examples of Cnidarians • Sea anemones • Medusae • Corals • Hydroids • Box jellies
