  3. The main aim of the Project Increasing a number of educational materials for the subject English as a Foreign Language (10-11 grades) as a Federal Component of State Standard of Education and Educational Institution Component of State Standard of Education

  4. The outline of the Project • Developing traditional paper and electronic versions of additional educational materials (texts for reading) for Student’s Book “English 10-11” (authors V.P. Kouzovlev, N.M. Lapa and others): Unit 1. How Different the World Is? Unit 2. Western Democracies. Are They Democratic? Unit 3. What Is Hot with the Young Generation? Unit 7. Inventions That Shook the World • Developing collection of students’ creative works“My Polycultural World” with nine chapters as Reader for educational Set “Internet in Learning English ” (authors: I.A. Makarenko, V.I. Tuzlukova, I.N. Rozina) which might be studied by students as an Educational Institution Component of State Standard of Education of the Russian Federation

Project Objectives • to show students the necessity of using info-communication technologies in learning polyculture within global education while foreign language training and other subjects at school • to present our additional educational materials as samples for developing similar ones for different subjects • to give students additional materials and tools for using Internet technologies in self-education while learning English as a Foreign Language and other subjects

  6. Project Benefits Our Project will be an investment • in development of education of our school and community • for modernization of Russian education according to Federal State Standard requirements • in our personal development as pupils and persons

  7. Project Steps and Results In order to realize this Project we have done the following steps: • Attended the special educational course “English with the Internet. Polycultural World: Problems and Solutions” which was taught in the IATP Center in the Donskaya State Public Library (September 2004 – May 2005) • Developed traditional and electronic additional materials (texts for reading) for Student’s Book “English 10-11” (authors V.P. Kouzovlev, N.M. Lapa and others):
