  1. Friday morning Session Feedbacks and suggestions from all the participants (not only the conveners!)

  2. Proceedings Electronic Conference Proceedings Archive http://www.slac.stanford.edu/econf/ + Paper version in “Nuovo Cimento B” All speakers would be kindly invited to send their written contribution (5-10 pages) until Jan 31st 2009 to mpi08@pg.infn.it We would like to have the proceedings published in Winter 2009 Frequent reminders will be issued to the speakers (& conveners)

  3. My View - Physics • Enthusiastic response to the proposal of thi brand new MPI@LHC w/s • Very few candidate speakers declined the invitation • The need of this common MPI language is widely felt but it is not there yet. • Big dichotomy in pp Physics • Traditional MB & UE measurements and their impact on MC/MPI Tuning (unavoidable at the LHC start-up) • Conceptual progress, Ideas for a MPI factorization theorem, New MPI models with increasing level of correlation effects, double scattering and complementary eff measurements with mini-jets. • Slowly moving toward a scenario where these different measurements can be used at the same time to constraint the models HI, pp and diffractive communities clearly still speak different languages (although they often refer to the same physics processes). Don’t forget that here we should focus on MPI at the LHC… • For example: How rapidity gap suppression connects to MPIs ? • But this is precisely why we want to have these MPI@LHC workshops

  4. Format of the workshop • Probably it should allow more discussion time (typical feedback collected during these days) • In our mind discussion should have happened during the long coffee and lunch breaks but it is certainly worth allocating more time even during the standard meetings Probably introductory “lessons” should be foreseen [Daniele]

  5. Logistic • Here also some enthusiastic feedbacks collected (really nice/pleasant place etc.) • Thanks! (In particular thanks to Livio et al.) but let’s concentrate on the problems • Poor wireless connectivity • Place difficult to be reached • AoB

  6. Proposals for the next Workshop • I just list what I am aware of • Taipei fall 2009 (would propose zero registration fee) • Glasgow Spring 2010 (Arthur) • Trieste Spring 2010 (Daniele) • AoB
