  2. Creating an Assessment • After logging in, click on the assessment tab.

  3. Creating an Assessment • Click on the “create assessment” link near the top of the page: • Once you click the link, you will be directed to a 16 prompt form. • For Type, you can choose between an “Answer key-only assessment” or an “ACT practice assessment” • Most of the time you will choose to create an assessment that is an “Answer key-only assessment” as this is the type of assessment for a formal test or quiz.

  4. Creating an Assessment • Keep Linking as No. Only the Bold term Must be filled in, but we do not want to link any tests together. We can separate sections later. • Name your assessment. • Make sure you name your assessment properly whether you decide all multiple choice answers will be housed for the semester on the same scantron or on different scantrons.

  5. Creating an Assessment • Enter the number of multiple choice questions on your assessment. • Enter the number of performance event (short answer) questions, this is normally “0”.

  6. Creating an Assessment • Pick the courses and sections that you will be assessing. These will already be set up on your profile by your school’s technologist. • If the assessment is strictly for your classes, you can highlight your courses in the selection box. • If the assessment is for your content team, then click the “My school’s courses” and all courses from the school will pop up. • From here you can highlight each section or click on a grouping of all sections of a course.

  7. Creating an Assessment • If you have more than one building in your district, you will need to choose which building your assessments will be given at. • Pick a grade level for your assessment, if it is for more than one grade level, then you can choose middle school or high school level. • Select a subject area for the assessment from a drop down menu.

  8. Creating an Assessment • Select which department from the school you are associated with. • If your school has specified different curriculum teams, then you can choose to specify which team you are on. • Select which term (quarter or semester) the assessment is for. • For Grading scale, you can choose between a motivation survey or normal. For the purposes of a formal assessment, you will need to choose the Normal grading scale.

  9. Creating an Assessment • Keep the Locked option as No. • For the status, you can pick from available, test bank, and draft. The status should always be kept as available unless you are picking questions from a test bank. • Answer form is for the type of scantron you have. There are two types: • G or G12 (which is the most common and what we have at ZBTHS) • K

  10. Creating an Assessment • Once you have all of the prompts filled out, click save in the bottom right corner to finish creating your assessment.

  11. Creating an Assessment • Once we have the assessment created, we can edit it and enter the rest of the information for the assessment during the afternoon session. • Now that we have the assessment created, we can re-access it after lunch. • Please take the time now to access and take the formative assessment before taking your lunch break.
