Title I • School Improvement Plans • Ensure that Components are evident in SIP • Complete FY13 Title I Components Checklist • Email checklist to your Specialist by October 5th • Revise SIP based on feedback from Title I by October 19th • Email Specialist when changes are ready for review • Title I will email approval to school Title I Contact • File Title I approval of Components in red folder 1

Title I • Parent Involvement Policy/Plan • Email Amy Barningham by October 26th that PIP is ready for Title I review • Revise PIP based on feedback by November 9th • Must print PIP to see comments • Areas will be marked Adequate, Needs more information or clarification or N/A • Email reviewer once changes are made • Create summary of PIP for parent distribution in multiple languages • Document distribution of summary by November 20th in blue folder 1 • Recorded Breeze presentation available on website

Title I • School-Parent Compact • Developed with parent input and document with agenda, sign-in sheets, and minutes • Translate to multiple languages for parent distribution • Include tear-off as evidence of distribution • Document by October 19th in blue folder 1 • Annual Meeting • Host meeting by November 2nd • File verification, invitation, agenda, sign-ins, and minutes in blue folder 1 by November 19th • May be held on same night as Open House, SAC, or Curriculum provided the Vodcast is shown • View Vodcast prior to meeting – schools must prepare information for presentation

Title I • ESOL Conference • The 8th Annual Language and Culture Conference: Climbing to New Heights • October 19-20, 2012 @ Boynton Beach High • Day 1 – ESOL strategies, literacy, math, science, language, guidance, social services, etc. • Day 2 –Elements of Reading Vocabulary K-3 and 4-5,  SUBE for K-5 Spanish, Rigor for Secondary, special Administrator session, etc. • Earn 30 inservice points • Title I may be used to fund registrations

Title I • Budget transfers and requisitions • Be specific, tell how items will be used and by whom (science lab materials for 8th grade classes) • Do not split requisitions between two funds • Property and Equipment • Label all items $250+ • Maintain inventory list • Tutorials • Work with Specialist to unfreeze bucket positions • Ensure buckets are “cleaned up” • Set the standard for audit documentation

Title I • Overtime Waivers • Approved waiver on file before any OT is incurred • Complete budget transfer to cover OT in account 519990 • Form 1862 • Charter Reimbursements • End of first quarter was September 30th • Review training from Sept 20th on Charter webpage under Title I to help with packet • Ensure all requests are documented in SIP

  21. View students using Registration Tab Can be used to see all students or individual students

View students using Registration Tab • If selecting ALL students, a listing of all students placed with providers will appear. • To print the list, choose File – Print or highlight all student information, then right mouse click and print. • You may click on “Edit” next to any student listed to view additional information, or you may search for individual students using the directions on the screen shown in the previous slide.

  23. View students using Search Tab Can be used to view students or create a spreadsheet or report. You must select the “School Info” tab before choosing “Find Records” (see arrows.) You may choose “Quick Edit/Export” after student records appear.

  24. Using Search Tab (cont.) • After choosing “Quick Edit/Export Spreadsheet”, you may select which fields you would like to include in your report, then preview and print it.
