  2. Visual Art is a practical subject – • 4 Practical tasks done each year. • Theory is an integral part of this subject. • 75% of the final Grade 12 mark is obtain from the theory. • Theory involves 50% unseen work to be interpreted.

  3. What skills do you need? • Interest in creating things. • Art is not only drawing and painting. • Learners with difficulties can be accommodated.

  4. We use light boxes and overhead projectors.

  13. What do you need: • Visual Diary • A3 diary for Gr 10 + 11 • (Available from school) • A2 diary for Gr 12 • (Available from school)

  14. Pencils, oil pastels, glue and erasers are essential – they will not be supplied by the school.

  15. Canvas boards: Gr 11 & 12: One per term. (±R50 per term)

  16. Materials for assemblages and installations – Learners will have to supply this themselves.
