The need for specialized IT auditors in Japan is critical, especially post-privatization of national services. Since 2005, SAI-Japan has implemented the ASTRA training program to cultivate IT Audit Champions. This initiative transforms excellent auditors into specialized IT Audit Consultants, improving skills through real experiences and international cooperation. Through on-the-job training, workshops, and collaborative efforts with industry experts and academic institutions, ASTRA aims to develop a new generation of auditors equipped with advanced IT skills necessary for today's audit landscape.
