  3. 3 Arrival to the site and kick-off meeting Site visit is a major event that involves direct contact between the inspection and the subject of regulation. The inspector must know and comply with safety standards at the facility. The inspector must have documents, confirming his authority.

  4. 4 Arrival to the site and kick-off meeting Normally the introductory meeting includes the following items: - Presentation of the staff involved (participants); - Explanation of the office of an Inspector to check the object; - Objectives and scope of the inspection, and a brief descriptive overview of the history of compliance with environmental regulations and the organization takes action against its enforcement; - Plan and schedule of the audit; - Limitations and Exceptions (if any); - Administrative procedures; - Specificity of confidential company information; - Determination of the time and place of the final meeting; - Answers to questions.

  5. 5 Examination of the object Normally the introductory meeting includes the following items: - Presentation of the staff involved (participants); - Explanation of the office of an Inspector to check the object; - Objectives and scope of the inspection, and a brief descriptive overview of the history of compliance with environmental regulations and the organization takes action against its enforcement; - Plan and schedule of the audit; - Limitations and Exceptions (if any); - Administrative procedures; - Specificity of confidential company information; - Determination of the time and place of the final meeting; - Answers to questions.

  6. 6 Examination of the object On the subject in order to verify that the existing regulations are now also made measurements of indicators such as the level of noise or emissions. Such measurements are usually performed by specialist inspectors or other authorized persons. In addition, the inspector can be produced samples of liquid discharges, waste or soil. In the case of the inspector, the significant risk from substances that pose a threat of heavy environmental impacts, the inspector should consider the available in its possession and being under its authority legitimate ways to respond to the situation.

  8. 8 The final meeting The final meeting officially completes an inspection of the facility. Normally the outcome of the meeting includes the following: - Presentation of the present employees if their composition differs from that of an introduction meeting; - An expression of gratitude for the cooperation and implementation of the necessary administrative procedures, etc.; - Overview of the purpose of verification, adjusted for their changes, if any, during the inspection; - Overview of the data; - Preliminary assessment of the violations; - Preliminary information on the measures required to address the violations; - Service - in the presence of the relevant provisions of law and the office of an Inspector - the official regulations in case of a significant risk of severe environmental consequences

  12. 12 Checklists used during the inspection Key issues to be considered in the preparation of the site visit: - Do you plan to check compliance with environmental permits? - Do you plan to sampling and measurement? - Do you know what enforcement measures inspector has the right to take on the spot? - Does the company environmental management system? - Will there be synergies with other public agencies? - Is the inspection a response to the emergency situation caused by contamination of the environment?
