  3. Bill of Attainder • Declaring person guilty WITHOUT TRIAL

  4. Ex Post Facto Law • Changing punishment of a crime after its been committed.

  5. Gerrymandering • Shaping districts of politicians to make it easier for one party to win

  6. Franking • Privilege of not paying for stamps • All congressmen have franking privileges

  7. Impeach • Removing an elected official • House of Representatives impeaches, Senate convicts

  8. Pork Barrel • Spending government money for local projects

  9. Constituents • People who elect officials • Officials represent them in government

  10. Lobbyist • People who influence politicians for a special field • Ex. Oil lobbyists, education lobbyists, healthcare lobbyists

  11. Filibuster • Delaying or preventing a vote by non-stop talking • Can only be done in the Senate! • Cannot sit down, or take a break
