  1. Problem Statement 5: Team Leadership and Development As the Senior Admin Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of administrative professionals. Thrillophilia values a culture of collaboration, growth, and empowerment. Outline your approach to team leadership and development, including strategies for fostering a positive work environment, motivating team members, and promoting continuous learning and improvement. Solution/Suggestion "It is always a great challenge to hold a team and keep the team highly motivated while timely developing their skills. In this scenario, I would like to share the situation I faced during the Covid pandemic while working at the hospital." "I am handling transport maintenance, facility security, asset management, and other administrative departments at the hospital. I am also appointed as the key contact person from the hospital to the government. As I oversee multiple departments in the hospital, it's a big challenge for me to ensure that the manpower in each department is physically and mentally fit. Below mentioned are few techniques that I used during the pandemic to keep my team motivated and maintain a healthy environment within their departments." 1.Lead by example–“I take the initiative to visit the oxygen plant daily with the driver and maintenance team. Sometimes late night hours, In starting work 18-20 hrs on daily bases” 2.Supportive work environment- “I lead the team in all situations I created supportive work environment with in team & organisation” 3.Mission & Vision– "Our goal, vision, and thought process with the team are purely aligned with the goals, ethos, and vision of the hospital, which is patient care." 4.Delegation of authority and responsibility - "Delegation of authority and responsibility is also an important part. I have appointed a driver who is solely responsible for transport, and a staff member from the maintenance team who handles all the oxygen supply for the hospital. I have given them authority along with their responsibilities." 5.Recognition and appreciation - "Recognition and appreciation are also important aspects within the team. Those who work extremely well during the pandemic will be recognized and appreciated by the management based on my & other senior team member’s feedback." 6.Continuous learning and development - "Continuous learning and development are also important parts. As the guidelines change daily by the government, it's my responsibility to update my team about the guidelines. We need to change our working style according to the guidelines." 7.Coaching & mentorship - "This is the time when I can teach the most junior staff how to think positively and help their senior team members. In this scenario, regular coaching or feedback is shared with the more junior staff in the department." 8.Keep Balance Life - "I am doing all I need to keep a balance between their work life. For those to whom I have given more responsibility along with authority, I have also provided some relaxation so that they can properly recharge and balance their personal life with their professional life." Like food & accommodation in campus, do not disturb policy after office hours. 9.Regular Team celebration- "During this pandemic, I always keep in mind to celebrate small events to keep the morale high of the team, such as birthdays, work anniversaries, and other events." 10.Stay update on Industry treads- "Progress should be properly measured, and we need to change strategies according to the expected progress from the department. I stay updated on industry trends during this period and I am in regular touch with other Hospital Admin managers, asking them to share their strategies through which they keep their teams motivated. This helps me to follow trends in medical healthcare during this pandemic."
