Blessing VS Bitterness • 1 Peter 3:8-9  •  8Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: •  9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

  4. Surviving betrayal over bitterness • Hebrews 12:15  •  15Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; • Thousands survive betrayal • Few survive bitterness

  5. The Birth of Bitterness • The Betrayal is the child of Jealousy • Betrayal is external • Bitterness is internal • Betrayal is something that others do to you • Bitterness is something that you do to yourself • Disloyalty is from a unthankful heart • Have you ever experience than of these

  6. Jesus experience these • Jesus and Judas • Mark 14:18  •  18And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me. • Judas destroyed himself • Injustice is only as powerful as Your Memory of it.

  7. Jesus & Peter • Three times Peter denied the Lord • Peter cried our for mercy and forgiveness • Peter was restored • Peter became a great preacher

  8. Forgive others and yourself • Ephesians 4:31-32 •  31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: •  32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
