  2. iBooks • Free app to read books or articles (ePub or PDF) • Allows highlighting, notes, sharing, defining of words, and text speak for books and ePub articles • Can bookmark location in books

  3. Purchasing books in iBookstore • Store • Search by title or peruse the categories of the store • Use iTunes gift card or credit card associated with your iTunes account to purchase books

  4. Using iBook features • To use features hold your finger over the text. Menu will appear. • Select feature • Select highlight or notepad color

  5. Search feature • Look for words or phrases within the text • Expand your search to the Internet or Wikipedia

  6. Bookmark • Use the bookmark to save your place

  7. Changing files to ePub • dotepub.com • Follow directions to add bookmark • Find articles you want to read in iBook then select the ePub bookmark to change the file

  9. Safari Reader • On pages with extra text and media, you can use the Reader to see the main text and adjust font size. • You can also use the text speak feature within the reader.

  10. Saving images from Safari • Tap the image. Tap a second time and hold until a menu appears. • Choose save image and the image will be added to your camera roll

  11. Share features in Safari • Send to email • Send to message • Send to Facebook or Twitter (must have account setup on iPad in Settings) • Send to wireless printer

  12. Save for later in Safari • Bookmark • Reading list • Add to home screen

  13. Websites to add to home screen • Aesop • Infinite campus • Wikispace
