Analyzing "The Lady of Shalott": Poetic Structure and Themes

This lesson focuses on evaluating and visualizing poetry through a One-Pager. Students will analyze the form, structure, and poetic devices in Alfred Lord Tennyson's "The Lady of Shalott," aiming to identify its universal themes. The agenda includes a brief presentation of One-Pagers, a class discussion on the poem, and a video viewing. For those absent, a Poetry One-Pager is due next class. A timed writing on "The Lady of Shalott" will also be conducted, with the final submission deadline set for March 1.
