Workshop Objectives • Introduce members of the EAAPP Cassava RCoEto the effective use of a number of ICT tools for collaboration. • Select the ICT tools to be used by the RCoEsfor collaboration • First is this workshop. Followed by setup of the EAAPP electronic platform, and training for the RCoEs.

Workshop Objectives • Build an understanding of the workings of various ICT tools and their implications • Practice, reflect and share experiences on the ICT tools • Build enthusiasm for use of the available tools • Develop a draft action plan for enhancing use of the tools for collaboration and knowledge sharing within the RCoE

  4. Workshop Design • For each of the tools presented • Short presentation • demonstration • “hands-on” experience by participants • Interactive Q&A sessions • group assignments and brainstorming exercises

  5. Workshop Design Cont.. • Appropriate tools: select tools that • Have a short learning curve. Tools that will easily, and automatically, be taken up by the RCoEs • Are easily adaptable in work environments of the RCoEs • Can be supported by existing structures: ICT infrastructure and human resource • Can stand the test of time

  6. Workshop Design Cont.. • The ICT tools are organised around the following categories:- • Tools for Discussion • Tools for Conferences/ Meetings • Tools for File Sharing • Tools for Co-Creation • Tools for Feedback • Tools for Media Sharing

  7. Expected Outputs • ICT tools selected and prioritized • Develop the a regional plan for the Cassava RCoE to use the tools The workshop resources at http://eaappict.pbworks.com/
