This primer outlines a straightforward method for mounting photos for competitions, specifically for the Tulsa State Fair, which requires matting without backing. The process starts with the matte upside down, where the picture is taped to the matte using an "I" taping pattern. It emphasizes the importance of securing each joint with crossing tape and correctly labeling the back of the photo. For entries needing backing, it details how to attach the matte to the backing using the same taping technique while ensuring everything stays in place for presentation.
