  2. OLR Scholarship sponsored byEducation Endowment Fund • HK $4 million has been set aside by the EEF and the interest earned (i.e approx. HK $200,000/ yr) is used to fund the scholarship on a recurring basis PERMANENTLY.

  3. Aim and Coverage • Encourage and recognize students’ whole-person development and motivate them to strive for excellence in various aspects. • Prizes are given to students with outstanding performance in the following areas: • Awards based on academic performances (public exam and internal exam) • Prizes for outstanding leadership, conduct and community services • Prizes for excellence in extra-curricular activities • Remark: Students with a black mark, a minor or a major demerit are not qualified.

  4. Coverage • (I) Award based on Public Exam - HKDSE Results, HK$ The calculation of the scholarship is based on the number of 5* equivalent. Also, one level 5** is equivalent to three level 5*.

  5. Example 1: • A student gets one Level 5** and one Level 5* • Based on the above criteria, her results are equivalent to FOUR Level 5* • 1(5**)+1(5*) = 3(5*)+1(5*) = 4(5*) • From the table, she can get $1500 in the OLR Scholarship.

  6. Example 2: • A student gets three Level 5** and four Level 5* • Based on the above criteria, her results are equivalent to THIRTEEN Level 5* • 3(5**)+4(5*) = 9(5*)+4(5*) = 13(5*) • From the table, she can get $7000 in the OLR Scholarship.

  7. Coverage • (II) Award based on Internal Results A. Based on ranking in form (S1 to S3), HK$ (offered to top 10 students in each form, S1 to S3)

  9. Coverage • C. Based on subject in form (S5), HK$

  10. Coverage • D. Based on ranking in class (S1 to S5), HK$ (offered to top 3 students in each class, S1 to S5)

  11. Coverage • E. Improvement Awards (offered to 10 most improved students in S1 to S3 and 2 most improved students in each class of S4 & S5)

  12. Coverage III. Prizes for outstanding leadership, conduct and community services A. Good conduct Awards (offered to students attaining Good Conduct Awards in Both 1st and 2nd term each year) and Outstanding Good Conduct Awards (attaining Good Conduct Awards for 8 times or more)

  13. Coverage B. Outstanding student leaders (offered to students who show outstanding performance and demonstrate a high calibre of leadership in their groups) C. Community Service (offered to the top 10 students who have completed community service over at least 150 hours each year)
