  6. SimilesA comparison of two different things or ideas through the words LIKE or AS Your eyes sparkle like diamonds. Her teeth were like pearls

  7. Personification Giving human qualities to an animal, thing or idea. • The wind screamed my name. • The window flew open. • The book jumped out of my locker
