California, Nevada and the FAA • Meeting held on 7/2/04 at CalTrans Div of Aeronautics Office • Discussion of state’s role and FAA role in non-commercial airports. • Discussed of FAA performance goals • Based on bids, close-outs, active grants • Possibility of California State funded design only grants to assist with BOB goal • Developed a time frame for FY-06 ACIP
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • On 8/2/04, the ACIP cover letter and form was sent to the Division of Aeronautics Offices in California and Nevada for their review • On 8/23/04, a meeting was held at the San Francisco Airports District Office to review the ACIP process, including cover letter and form • How will states provide ACIP data to the FAA
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • On 9/13/04 the ACIP cover letter and form will be sent out to NPIAS airports • For airports within northern California, the ACIP cover letter will be signed by Andy Richards and Austin Wiswell • For airports within southern California, the ACIP cover letter will be signed by Anthony Garcia and Austin Wiswell • For airports within Nevada, the ACIP cover letter will be signed by Andy Richards and Trent Moyers
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • By 11/19/04 the ACIP from airports in California and Nevada will be due to FAA and Division of Aeronautics Offices in California and Nevada for the respective airports • This timing for the ACIP data follows the timing for ACIP data in Arizona
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • In 12/04, a telecon will be held with the FAA and Division of Aeronautics Offices for California and Nevada to review the ACIP's that have been received to date. • It is realized that as of 12/1/04, we might not have a complete submittal of all the airports ACIP, but it was felt that a preliminary telecon was necessary to review the ACIP data that has been received.
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • By 2/05, a meeting will be held with the FAA and Division of Aeronautics Offices for California and Nevada to review the ACIP's that have been received • This will be the meeting to have the final ACIP review opportunity with Division of Aeronautics Offices for California and Nevada before it is sent on to the FAA Region and headquarters
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • By 5/1/05, the ACIP is due to the FAA Region office from the FAA San Francisco Airports District Offices and FAA southern California Standards Section office • By 6/1/05, the ACIP is due to FAA Office of Airports (headquarters office) from the FAA Regional office
FY-2006-2010 ACIP Timing • By 8/1/05, a final adjustment is made for the FY 2006-2010 ACIP • On 10/1/05 the final snapshot of the FY 2006-2010 snapshot is taken by the FAA Office of Airports (headquarters)
