Yoga is an age old practise of mind and body relaxation and control and its benefits are well recognised by most of the countries of world. The phenomenal benefits of yoga are also well realized during pregnancy for prenatal care. The benefits are stated and not limited to the following: • Preparation for delivery: Practising yoga during pregnancy helps release tension in the muscles and pelvic region. It thus prepares you for labour and delivery. Your body becomes more flexible and during delivery the cramps will pain less and you get the stamina to bear the labour pain for a normal delivery. You may want to join an online yoga for pregnancy class to do the guided practice. • Helps in morning sickness and back pain: Any pregnant women would dread the early morning sickness of the first trimester. And as the trimester overs and the morning sickness and nausea starts to fade away, its place is well taken by the back pain. You can manage both of them and keep the situation under control by doing regular yoga during pregnancy. • Meet other mammas-to-be: You get a platform where you can meet other would be mothers.
