  2. WBOB Shutdown Friday, May 1 Starting at 5 a.m. on Sunday May 3, 2009, for up to 12 hours, systems and applications that students and faculty normally use that are centrally supported will be unavailable for use.

  3. WBOB Shutdown This outage is required for the Office of Information Technology to repair a leak to the cooling system in one of its data centers.

  4. WBOB Shutdown Please plan accordingly. We recognize the importance of the University’s core systems at this busy time, and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes. For more information, visit the System Status page. If you have any questions, call 1-HELP at (612) 301-4357.

  5. WBOB Shutdown May 3 (7:00 p.m.) The cooling system in the WBOB data center has been repaired. All IT systems, applications, and tools have been brought back on line and should now be functioning normally. If you continue to experience issues with any systems, check the System Status page, or call 1-HELP.

  6. WBOB Shutdown Many people worked hard that weekend. IS/IDM: • Moved 11,300+ users to a spare server • Removed WBOB servers from our DNS rotations • Shut servers down and back up by ~2pm

  7. Google Apps • Took control of Google Team Edition space for umn.edu (2000+ users) • In usability testing • Next up: Technical Design
