  3. Things to Bring EVERY DAY • Pencil • Math notebook • Loose leaf paper • Dry erase marker • Math book

  4. Math Homework Policy • Expect HW 3 nights per week. None Fridays • Missing homework = name in “book” and a zero in the gradebook • Turn HW in next day with no grade penalty • Turn in 2 or more days late = loss of 10% • Missing HW can be turned in until the last week of a grading period • No reminders will be given--RESPONSIBLE

  5. Grading Procedures • HW = 30% Tests = 70% • All HW can be redone until you get 100% • Tests can be redone ONCE for ½ credit • Late work still loses 10% • Papers with % grade on them are in gradebook • Papers with # wrong are not in gradebook

Honors Grade Expectations • Students enrolled in Honors classes are expected to maintain grades of 73% (C) or better throughout their enrollment in the classes. • If a student receives a 70-72% (C-) or lower at the end of the first, second, or fourth nine weeks grading period, he/she will be moved down a course level at the start of the following grading period. • If a student receives a 70-72% (C-) or lower at the end of the third nine weeks grading period, he/she will remain in the class through the school year, but moved down a course level at the start of the next school year.

  10. Things to Remember • Don’t be a helicopter parent. You can’t come to their rescue forever. • Teachers have no reason to lie about what happens in school. • Be patient. • We are here for your children. Contact us with any questions.
