  2. Elementary Reports • Elementary = 135 • Estimated = 40 • Total – 175+ • Example: • Arlington High School FBLA students presented skits to grades K-3 & 4-6 about how to be smart with their money. Also visited classrooms and worked with students on money skills.

  3. High School Reports • High School = 949 • Education Exposures = 250+ • Estimated = 1200+ • (listed on calendar, but not reported) • Total – 2400+ • Example: • Lincoln Southeast students in DECA, FBLA, Marketing and Business Economics celebrated Money Smart Week by learning about investing and how to really be millionaire!

  4. West Boyd High School West Boyd FBLA members showing both sides of a coin to first grade students. Foreign Exchange students at West Boyd explained their currency to the elementary students.

  5. Tekamah-Herman High School • Daily financial trivia contest for grades 7-12.   • Social media feeds were posted on FBLA Facebook and Twitter pages on financial literacy. • Daily financial tips in school announcements. • Medicare workshop for community members was hosted after school. • Coloring contest for K-6 grade.  Coloring pages were designed by FBLA members on financial literacy. • Thursday was K-12 grades "Green Day"  where everyone was encouraged to wear green to school to create awareness of financial literacy. • Accounting, Entrepreneurship,  and General Business classes participated in online financial challenge. • An article and pictures were submitted to local newspaper covering Money Smart week activities. •  Digital Media students prepared web sites to summarize week's activities.  These web sites were linked on the school's web site. • Financial games were posted on school web site • for all to play.  

  6. College Reports • College Students – 1142 • Education Exposures = 3500+ • Estimated – 35 • Total – 4,675+ • Example: • SMMC’s Greek Chic Money Smart Event

  7. Adult Reports • Adults – 140 • Estimated – 60 • Total = 200 • Totals so far!!!! • Elementary + High School + College + Adults = 7,625!!!!!

Social Media • through social media we sought to: • Promote partner resources/events • Encourage people to assess their relationships with money through financial education quizzes • Encourage people to have discussions about financial education with their families • Promote NFEC-created financial education resources • Promote NFEC-created Money Smart Week activities • Celebrate partner Money Smart Week successes

School: Pound Middle School, Lincoln Student: Lilly Young Grade: 6th Teacher: Laura Rigoni Third Place winning $100 School: Elkhorn Ridge Middle School Student: Ellie Sorensen Grade: 7th Teacher: Cathy Nelson Other top 10 schools/teachers (in no particular order) Sargent Schools – Emily Tobias Marrs Margent School (Omaha) – William Chleborad Brownell-Talbot (Omaha) – Robert Goetschkes Russell Middle School (Omaha) – Zachary Ward Loup County Public Schools – Sandra Mann Aurora Middle School – Katie Scott Exeter-Milligan Public School – Allison Brahm 300 Essays Submitted
