  3. Bellringer # 72 • I had chose a good book and had fell asleep reading it. • The door weren’t locked, and it must have blew open. • When I woke up, I seen the open door and begun to get scared. Corrections: 1) chosen and take out had 2) wasn’t and blown 3) saw and began

  4. Bellringer # 73 • I have a pale, blue hat that I wear with my light, twill jacket. • On a freezing windy day, I wear a heavy, quilted jacket. Corrections: 1) remove commas 2) remove comma after heavy

Bellringer # 74 • He spoke quite polite and asked me to go direct to the store. • Normally, I could have done what he asked easy, but I felt real tired. • The faucet dripped so bad all night that I couldn’t sleep good. Corrections: 1) politely and directly 2) easily and really 3) badly and well

Bellringer # 75 • In the middle of the month after my birthday we had a heat wave. • Around our house and all down the block trees and flowers were budding. • For awhile in the middle of winter it felt and looked like spring. Corrections: 1) add comma after birthday 2) add comma after block 3) add comma after winter
