  4. ThepurposeoftheDWistoencourage andrecordexperimentationandcritical thinking.Itprovidestheopportunityfor writtenandnon-verbalreflectionand shouldbebothsourceandstimulusfor dialoguebetweenthemselvesand others.

  5. Emphasisisplacedonthedevelopmental natureoftheworkbookratherthansimply theevaluationofoutcomes.Allstagesof makingintheartsshouldberecorded fromconceptiontoperformanceordisplay oftheresultsoftheartmakingprocess. StudentsmustusetheDWthroughoutthe fiveyearsoftheMYPprogramme.
