  2. What did the W.o.gs wear?? Chinese men wore there hair like a ponytail which together with their distinctive clothes .

  3. Did any of the W.o.gs dig for gold? • Yeah, they did dig for gold but they didn’t dig for there holes they dug from other people’s holes.

  4. Did any children go to the gold fields? • There were some children but not a lot because only men were on the gold fields.

  5. Did any of the Chinese die ? • A small group charged the Chinese camp. • Eye witnesses stated that European and American diggers attacked the Chinese with timber and axes.

  6. Why were they called W.o.gs • They were called W.o.gs because they were: • Wise • Oriental • Gentlemen

  7. Did any of the Chinese want to come home? • Almost all the Chinese who came to Australia, came with the intention of returning home to their families.

  8. Was there a war between them? • After a series of violent clashes between Chinese and white miners at the Buckland River gold field in Victoria in 1857, a Sydney reporter wrote, "the increasing number of celestials has been gradually creating a feverish and dangerous state of excitement".

  9. What kind of Food did they eat • They ate mutton and drank tea.
