What do we do? emskills.org.uk We work with colleges, training providers, local authorities, NHS trusts and others, to up-skill tutors’ own knowledge so that they can: Apply the knowledge in their teaching and learning Know where to concentrate their effort when preparing learners for assessment

  6. Up-skill tutors’ own knowledge emskills.org.uk Webinars for specific aspects of maths/English/ICT Face-to-face teaching for the ‘nuts and bolts’ Distance learning to take the Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications

  7. Progression emskills.org.uk • Level 3 Award in mathematics for numeracy teaching: • statistics • algebra • number • Level 3 Award in English for literacy and language teaching • writing • reading • SLC • analysis of the English language
