  1. Conflict Resolution By Skye Kim

  2. What is Conflict Resolution? • Conflict Resolution is addressing sources of conflict by means of peaceful negotiation, mediation, etc. With a number of steps, correct conflict resolution can be easily implemented into any situation including group efforts such as Teen Court.

  3. How to resolve • Conflicts can be resolved simply by talking with the other person. Physical violence is not always the answer. Sometimes just sitting down and negotiating the conflict with the other person is much more effective and is the right thing to do.

  4. Examples of Conflict Resolution • http://www.black-collegian.com/news/special-reports/conflict2000-2nd.shtml • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZpDnXYIFjo

  5. Statistics • The typical manager spends 25-40% of his or her time with workplace conflicts. That’s one to two days of every work week. • 78% of respondents indicated that they believe some, most, or all employers engage in discrimination in hiring or promotion, and 51% stated that all or most employers engage in discriminatory practices • More than 50% of employers report having been sued by an employee.
