Production dynamics studies

Production dynamics studies. This is very preliminary and based on 3254 runs processed so far: I further required that the run # > 9421 to be in mcs period 6 so actual run count is smaller. The present MC needs to be scaled by about 2.27 to compare to data.

  1. Production dynamics studies • This is very preliminary and based on 3254 runs processed so far: • I further required that the run # > 9421 to be in mcs period 6 so actual run count is smaller. • The present MC needs to be scaled by about 2.27 to compare to data. • I have created lots of scripts to re-make plots for new data/mc • All distributions are sideband subtracted. • This is the MC chat file. I am running old pythia GENERATE GAMMA(CHARMBAR,D+(K-,PI+,PI+),D0(K-,PI+),D0(K-,PI-,PI+,PI+),DS+(K-,K+, GENERATE PI+),LAMBDAC+(PROTON,K-,PI+)) COMMENT KPIPI +KPI + K3PI+kkpi pikpi DIQ 15% + CR MAXGEN 1000000000 MAXACC 10000 ISEED ENV USECNTRULES T QDIQSUPP 0.15 MCRUNPERIOD 13000 DOTRIG T TRIGLEVEL 4 EHITYPE 1 DOTS T DOIE T DOOE T DOHC T DOMU T DOOMU T Production studies <JW|DK>

  2. Relative yield of silver modes Order is kpi, k2pi, k3pi, kkpi, pkpi, kpi as D*, k3pi as D*. Have adjusted the mc yield by a common factor meant to maximize agreement between data and MC (counting rule) and MC (default). MC uses diQ=15% Agreement is fairly poor. Production studies <JW|DK>

  3. Relative yield of silver modes Production studies <JW|DK>

  4. Momentum Spectra A reasonably good but clearly inperfect match except for the Lambdac where data is much softer than MC. Production studies <JW|DK>

  5. Pt**2 spectra An excellent match except possibly for Ds which is somewhat harder Production studies <JW|DK>

  6. Overall Asymmetry The MC uses CR Order is kpi, k2pi, k3pi, kkpi, pkpi, kpi as D*, k3pi as D*. Agreement is rather poor even for meson states. Production studies <JW|DK>

  7. Kinematic Asymmetry variation Generally the pattern of kinematic variation : P (this page) & pt**2 (next page) is rather unclear. The MC doesn’t match very well. Production studies <JW|DK>

  8. Kinematic Asymmetry variation Generally the pattern of kinematic variation : P (last page) & pt**2 (this page) is rather unclear. The MC doesn’t match very well. Production studies <JW|DK>

  9. Primary vertex multiplicity The overall primary vertex distribution in data is higher than inMC Production studies <JW|DK>

  10. Primary vertex multiplicity The pattern of <nprm> versus P in data is not well reproduced by the MC Production studies <JW|DK>

  11. Momentum spectrum in primary vertex A surprisingly good match of momentum spectrum between data and mc. Production studies <JW|DK>

  12. Search for proton excess in primary vtx This is a plot of the average charge versus kaonicity for tracks in primary vertex. In the Golden mode there is a clear trend towards a positive excess at large kaonicity which means kaon (or proton) is favored over pion hypothesis. The effect in data seems clear than in mc. Production studies <JW|DK>

  13. Proper time spectra Surprised that the match between data and mc is this poor especially at the low end. Production studies <JW|DK>
