Our Schedule • 8:45-9:05: Arrival/Breakfast/Morning Work/Announcements • 9:05-9:25: Morning Meeting • 9:25-9:55: Whole Group Reading (Phonics, Vocab, Comprehension) • 9:55-10:55: Reading Small Groups/Independent Work • 10:55-11:10: Writing • 11:10-11:40: Lunch • 11:40-11:55: Social Studies/Science • 11:55-12:20: Whole Group Math • 12:20-1:05: Special • 1:05-1:30: Math Flex Groups/Independent Work • 1:30-2:00: Recess • 2:00-2:20: Math Flex Groups/Independent Work • 2:20-2:50: Math Intervention • 2:55-3:25: Reading Intervention • 3:30: Read Aloud/Dismissal

  4. Special Schedule • Monday: Media (library books) • Tuesday: Music • Wednesday: Gym (wear/bring sneakers) • Thursday: Technology • Friday: Art

  5. Homework and Agendas • Weekly homework (sent home Mondays, checked every day) • Agendas and Point Cards (Please sign daily) • Enforce at home • Congratulate them! • Use as a communicator • Point Cards – unearned points (try harder tomorrow, noticing trends)!

  7. What is Intervention? • Reading and Math Intervention • Cycle 1 begins October 6 • 30 minutes each, daily • Tier I, II, and III • Tier I-whole group • Tier II-small group support 2 or 3 days per week • Tier III-small group, pull-out support 5 days per week
