  1. Aberration (n) Things that are not normal: A snowstorm in July….for my mom to forget my birthday… for me to not get on the computer all weekend……to forget my homework!!!!

  2. Amicable (adj) Sociable and/or friendly: The amicable girl made friends easily…..the couple’s amicable breakup….. An amicable argument…..some jobs require an amicable person…..worked together amicably (adv).

  3. Behemoth (noun)a huge thing • The SUV was such a behemoth • Our textbook is a behemoth • Her dog is a behemoth

  4. Divulge (v) To tell; to reveal Divulge a secret…….. divulge my reasons for….. divulge my plans for………. Divulge the winners….

  5. Impeccable (adj) • flawless and perfect • …..your outfit….. Your report card……your room after you cleaned it up……the essay you wrote…….the report you gave…….

  6. Manifest (v) To make visible…. your allergies manifested with all this ragweed…..your anger manifested when you….a ghost could manifest….a zit manifested ….. Feelings manifest…..

  7. Melee (n) A noisy fight (More than 2 people…) • a melee in the lunchroom? On the football field? On the basketball court????

  8. Patronize (v) • 1) to be a customer of to patronize WalMart… never patronize that mall again….Be a patron of some store. • 2) to speak down to someone patronized me by insulting my school…don’t patronize me just because I ……

  9. Suave (adj) • Sophisticated or polished • Look suave in a certain outfit/ suit/ car…. • Act suave….to get a job…out of trouble….get bonus points…..out of a test……

  10. Tirade (n) • A long, angry speech • Your mom’s tirades can go on forever? • A teacher can give a tirade to the class…. • Coach’s tirade…… • Note: not a verb!
