  3. A NEW MOBILITY CONCEPT - the era of private cars is over; we need a better quality for our lives; • “Urban Mobility Package” adopted by the EC on December 2013. • mobility is a right and a necessity; • let’s exploit heterogeneous and integrated transport modes!

SUPERHUB: THE PROJECT Keywords: - smart innovation; - people’s needs and wishes; - HUB (share, integrate and cooperate); - new ecosystem of mobility; - real-time and tailored info; - behaviour changes. Main goals: - open platform and Apps; - engage citizens; - provide support to urban mobility policies. - 20 partners of 6 Countries - 3 pilot cities

SUPERHUB: INPUT AND OUTPUT Real-time and integrated mobility resources User-tailored mobility services (e.g.: several route options) Environmental impact data Useful data to plan and simulate mobility policies User preferences & needs - new sources of mobility data can be added when available - third-parties will be able to deploy mobility-related applications

  8. SUPERHUB: THE TRIALS 1 PLATFORM 6+ added value SERVICES 3 TRIALS: - more than 2,100 users already involved; - 760 participants to the 2° PILOT TEST(Aug. – Sept.2013); • around 3,000 volunteers forthe 3° PILOT TEST (Oct. 2014): they’ll be “mobile sensors” of their own journeys.

  11. SUPERHUB: FIRST INTEGRATED PROTOTYPE Features are available to the end-user through a multi-lingual Web User Interface and a Mobile App.

SUPERHUB: JOURNEY PLANNER Preferences: - use of transport modes - ownership of transport modes; - additional information on owned transport modes (e.g. model, type) - burdens (e.g. luggage, stroller) Recommendation criteria: - speed - costs - eco-footprint - duration - distance - physical effort

  13. SUPERHUB: DISRUPTIVE EVENTS 75% of users like the screen shot showing disruptive events. Some additional options: • to report a source reliability issue; • real-time map with user comments about the event; • distinction between accidents regarding public transport and private vehicles; • to filter events only related our own journey.

  14. SUPERHUB: SERIOUS GAMES Induction of behaviour changes • interactive games with an educational function; • new mobility experiences in a simulated environment “SUPERHUB art gallery” • features and advantages of the SUPERHUB App; • tips to mobility users;

SUPERHUB.ORG -> Open Mobility Data Platform The idea: collect, integrate and standardise Open Mobility Data and enable interoperability of systems/services. - Transport Operators - Transport Authorities - Commercial companies - Public Administrations - Foundations - Open Data harmonization & system availability - Continuous research development - Apps / Start-Up competition connected with sustainability, local growth and new service creation
