  3. Biographies • Short and to the point • Try to find info about their writing career • May or may not be able to find info about their response to book banning/censorship • Paraphrasing would be appropriate (with citations, of course)

  4. Decision Points • Book’s theme • Author’s message/intent • Availability in school libraries • Part of instructional program?

  5. More Decision Points • Consider multiple perspectives (parent, student, teacher, administration, community members, to name a few) • Support your argument • Look at precedent and history
